Frustrated? Don’t Be!

Frustrated

Boy! Does this post from a friend bring back memories! I well recall my sense of frustration in my teens when someone could not see the benefit in an idea I had.

The data I have since learned about life and the mind has replaced that frustration with understanding.

For instance, one datum I learned many years ago was that a person who received false data on a subject will very often reject true data to which they are later exposed because it disagrees with something they hold to be true. And there has been a monumental amount of repetition of false data over the last two and a half years on a subject that affects us all!

Another datum I only recently learned that made a whole lot of sense to me was that you can show a set of data and an accurate and obvious conclusion to a person but unless their level of awareness is high enough to recognise the truth of the solution, they will not “get” it.

It’s almost like you can only teach somebody something that they already know, or at least have the awareness level to recognise.

So the “why” that explains the frustration of the aware is that the majority of people have an awareness level too low to recognise truth. Sometimes even if it is slapping them in the face with a wet fish. Or worse, killing their friends and family before their very eyes!

Another reason I have shared previously as that only 13% of people, by survey, think, The others feel. https://www.tomgrimshaw.com/tomsblog/?p=39776

Interesting that the votes for the minor parties was 13% in the latest Australian Federal election.

But don’t despair. It doesn’t take the majority to prevail. It only takes a tireless minority to effect change. and not even as large a number as you might think. Take heart from this:
