What good is Science?

I don’t like his denigration of personal observation. I mean, that is the beginning point of science.

You observe something.
You form a theory based on that observation.
You make a hypothesis of what would happen if you applied that theory in a practical situation.
You apply that theory to see if it works.
Based on the result of your application, you either confirm the theory or come up with a new one to explain the difference between your expectation and the observed result.

Can’t even begin to contemplate what he would say about personal awareness.
