10 civilizations. All of them gone. All of them leaving behind things we still can’t explain.
The Great Pyramid’s granite sarcophagus shows drill marks requiring 500 times the pressure of modern diamond core drills. The craftsmen who made it had copper chisels. Copper is a 3 on the hardness scale. Granite is a 7. Copper does not cut granite. After the Fourth Dynasty, pyramid construction quality collapsed instantly and permanently, the knowledge didn’t erode, it vanished between one pharaoh’s reign and the next. The Olmecs were vulcanizing rubber 2,800 years before Goodyear patented the process. Vulcanization requires precise sulfur ratios and controlled temperature ranges. It is not discovered by accident. It requires understanding polymer chemistry. The Indus Valley built tidal-lock docking systems 3,500 years before Dutch engineers independently developed the same technology, and left a script used across 500,000 square miles that no one has ever deciphered. Not one word.
The pattern across all ten is the same. A civilization appears with knowledge that shouldn’t exist yet. It builds things we struggle to replicate now. Then it vanishes, sometimes violently, sometimes deliberately, and takes the explanation with it.
The technology is still here. The people who made it are gone. And no one has explained where it came from.
