Viral Delusion

A friend posted these links on MeWe.com. I have not yet looked at them and with 70 tabs open in my browser, 114 saved images yet to be posted and put in my newsletters let alone the tens of thousands of as yet unread emails (what was that about information overload?) chances are I will not be getting to them any time soon. I am putting them here for you so if you are more organised and up to date than I you are not deprived of the data.

This five part “Viral Delusion” series is the quickest way to get up to speed. They can just be listened to while you are doing other things.

There was no “lab leak.”

Keanu – Lift Your Eyes

Keanu - Lift Your Eyes

Once Keanu Reeves left a post on his Facebook page addressing all his followers and fans. The message spread online at great speed, already counting hundreds of thousands of likes and shares.

“Can you see the people behind me? Everybody running to work, not paying attention to anything. Sometimes we get so absorbed in our daily routine that we forget to pause for a moment to enjoy the beauty of life. We are turning into real life zombies.

Lift your eyes, look directly in front of you and remove your earphones. Say hello to someone passing by or hug someone who feels unwell. Lend a helping hand to someone. Live everyday as if it were your last

Not many people know that I suffered from severe depression several years ago. I have never told anyone this. I had to find a way to get past her. And I realized the bitter truth: The person who did not let me be happy was myself!

Every day we live is priceless. So let’s live by it. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so start living today!”

Keanu Reeves

Four Of Us Sat In A Car

Four Of Us Sat In A Car

Four of us sat in a worn-out car in the back of a McDonald’s parking lot.

It sure had plenty of city miles on it. The music was loud, the laughs were endless, and none of us were concerned about anything but these moments in time.

We started using drugs on nights like these, but none of us gave it too much reflection. Deep down inside we all thought the same thing: this is just a phase and someday, soon enough, we would grow out of it.

It’s heartbreaking to look back at those moments with the understanding that we were not going to grow out of it – we were growing into it. We were growing into poor grades, lost friends, and abandoned hobbies. We were growing into family fights, restless nights, and an insatiable appetite. We were growing into police cruisers, holding cells, and psych wards.

Some of us were growing into our caskets.

Four of us sat in an old worn-out car in the back of a McDonald’s parking lot.

Two of us never made it out…
