Pure Norwegian Cod Liver Oil

Research done by the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation of San Diego, California and others have shown a renewed interest in Cod Liver Oil. From the first chapter of Weston Price, D.D.S.’s book, “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” ‘X-FACTOR,” or Animal Protein Factor (A.P.F.), which Is found in butter from cows fed on green grass, but with very little of It found in butter from cows on dry rations. This APF is necessary to the proper growth and well being of many types of animals. This same A.P.F factor was supposed to be in many oils.
The Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation searched everywhere for something that contains this factor. They claim to have tried all types of oils but in only one product did they find the necessary evidence of a rich X-Factor and that was Cod Liver Oil. After testing the varieties of Cod liver Oil available on the market, only one gave the beautiful royal purple color that proved the presence of A.P.F. (X-Factor) upon testing.
This Cod Liver Oil is the crudest form on the market, purposely less refined so as to retain the unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic and arachidonic. The omega-3 fatty acid EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), found in cold water fish and marine mammals, nutritionally supports the heart and cardiovascular function. One of the primary mechanisms responsible for this is benefit is EPA’s ability to naturally thin blood and discourage excess blood clotting. Additionally EPA nutritionally supports the liver in regulating proper LDL and HDL levels (low and high density lipoproteins). EPA has anti-inflammatory properties that have positive effects on the immune system.
Cod liver Oil is an effective source of Vitamin A and Vitamin D. Vitamin A is critical to healthy tissues and immunity. Vitamin D helps the body to utilize calcium and phosphorus in building bone structure and healthy teeth.
