The Truth About Money: The Money System Isn’t There a Better Way?

Part I

We all use money every day. Some of us think we know what money is. Yet ask the average person for a clear, scientifically accurate definition of money, and you will get a confusing muddle of unclear answers.

Despite all we may think we know about money and how to use it wisely, we have all been educated by our culture to have many incorrect and illusory beliefs about money. In this article, the first of three, we will look at one of these misconceptions: the idea that our present economic system is the only viable system in existence.

Most of us assume there is only one kind of money: the coins and paper money we use every day, issued by a central bank. The truth is that there are many different money systems available to facilitate the exchange of goods and services we all need. Some systems issue printed money, others issue electronic money. Some are time-based, others use units of currency. Some systems issue money only from a centralized banking system, while others issue it locally. The variety is endless, and like everything else, some systems of exchange are better than others.

Our current national money system, for instance, regularly and periodically fails. Ironically, this is called “the business cycle.” This boom-and-bust cycle has become enshrined within mainstream economic theory as inevitable and unavoidable. Large and small collapses of the money system occur in every country at some time. Occasionally, as in the Great Depression of the 1930s, the collapse is catastrophic.

Whenever the traditional money system collapses, people start asking questions. Why do we need money in order to trade? Isn’t there a better money system? How can we trade with each other despite a lack of money? Invariably, people invent alternative money systems, to compensate for the failure of traditional mainstream money. This cycle of failure and re-creation of viable alternatives has been going on for centuries.

Some of the alternative money systems turned out to be vastly superior to bank-issued traditional money. However, once the mainstream economy stabilized, alternative currencies have typically been suppressed by banking institutions and world governments, as they do not serve the interests of the banking world. An example of this occurred in 1932, in the small town of Worgl in Austria.

Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.

Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. We are witnessing for the first time the worldwide creation of money systems designed by the people who use them, instead of by central banks.

Time Dollars in Whatcom County

There are now hundreds of thousands of alternative currency groups operating in many countries around the world, each using their own locally-issued money. This quiet revolution came to Whatcom County in January of 2004 with the creation of Fourth Corner Exchange, a time dollar-based local currency system that now has over 300 members.

As many high-level bankers and international financiers are expressing concern that world economies are approaching another catastrophic failure, the need for visionary monetary reform is more important than ever. In his book “Infectious Greed,” Frank Partnoy, a professor at the University of San Diego School of Law and an expert in financial market regulation, states, “Today, the risk of system-wide collapse is greater than ever before.”

Local currency systems serve the specific needs of people locally, keeping money circulating within the local economy. They also bring people together, strengthening communities and rebuilding healthy economic interactions among people at a local level. When we experience the next Great Depression, the local currencies created during the past 20 years will sustain local economies, protecting them from the ravages of national and international economic downturns, and strengthening communities at the same time.

Modern technocrats have found lots of ways to ruin our food — like rapid heating of milk up to 240 degrees, zapping with microwaves, irradiating with radioactive materials, spray drying at high temperatures, extruding at high temperatures and pressures and embalming with sugar. Now a new technology has come on the scene: ultra-high pressure applied to a variety of foods for humans, pets and babies.

HPP — High Pressure Processing

High Pressure Processing (HPP) is defined as “a non-thermal food and beverage processing technique based on the application of high levels of hydrostatic pressure transmitted by water, with multiple advantages for food and beverage companies.” That pressure is one thousand times the pressure of air at sea level — the equivalent of water pressure in a marine trench.

You can read all about it at hiperbaric.com and see how it works for juice, for shelf stable meals ready to eat, and for “raw” pet food. HPP will open oysters without difficult shucking — after the processing, just open with your hand and the oysters — somewhat discolored — slither out! The process makes crab and lobster easier to remove from their shells.

Examples of high-pressure processed products commercially available in the U.S. today include fruit smoothies, guacamole, ready-to-eat meals with meat and vegetables, oysters, salad dressing, hummus, ham, chicken strips, fruit juice, salsa and fruit purees for babies. You won’t find any particular symbol displayed (as for irradiation) to indicate whether a product has undergone HP processing, but you might see the words “cold pasteurized.”

The food industry claims that “HPP has the potential to produce high-quality foods that display characteristics of fresh products, are microbiologically safe and have an extended shelf life.” The claim that HPP foods are “microbiologically safe” is not exactly correct.

What Are the Long-Term Health Effects of Eating HPP Food?

A 2008 review1 entitled “High-pressure processing — effects on microbial food safety and food quality,” looked at the effects of high pressure processing on various pathogenic organisms and found that it did not eliminate all of them; the researchers found that spores were especially resistant to high pressure — just as they are resistant to heat.

But what we really want to know about are the health effects — long-term health effects — of eating HPP foods. As the industry plunges headlong into high pressure processing, no one really knows.

No studies on long-term the feeding of HPP foods to mice or rats — or even dogs getting HPP “raw” pet food — appear in the literature. I did find one study, published in the Journal of Dairy Science, 20192 which explored the feeding of HPP colostrum to calves. Said the researchers:

“The results of this study suggest that high pressure processing of bovine colostrum maintains an acceptable IgG level while decreasing bacterial and viral counts,” but also observed:

“Calves fed pressure-processed colostrum had similar serum IgG but lower efficiency of absorption than calves fed heat-treated colostrum [emphasis added]. Changes in viscosity sometimes made calf feeding more difficult, but still feasible. Additional research to optimize this technology for on-farm use is necessary.”

The food industry is salivating over the idea of applying HPP to milk. The first to do this was the Mexican company Villa de Patos, which claimed that it was “fresh” (that is “raw”) and had an increased shelf life when refrigerated.

HPP Dairy Experience

A few years later, the New South Wales Food Authority approved the commercialization of HPP milk in the Australian state. The company, Made By Cow, developed a process for the “safe production of never heated and non-homogenized milk,” which they could sell as “safe raw milk.” Indeed, the processing made the milk slightly thicker and yellowish, which could mimic the viscosity and color of Jersey milk even if it came from Holstein cows!

With raw milk sales booming, and pasteurized milk sales declining, we can expect to see the dairy industry launch “cold-processed” pressure-treated milk in the U.S. Will this milk have the same benefits as real raw milk? A letter published in the Summer 2021 issue of Wise Traditions3 indicates that the answer is no!

“For many years I have been con­suming raw milk from a pastured dairy in France called Gaborit,” wrote our correspondent. “However, because of COVID and closed borders, I was unable to obtain this milk for eleven months and was forced to drink a substitute milk from Switzerland.

When I began to have trouble with my teeth, I began to suspect the possibility that the local ‘raw’ milk (Rohmilch in German) might be thermized (heated) although not to the temperature of pas­teurization (or perhaps microfiltered or whatever).

What most aroused my suspicions was the experience of a friend, supposedly milk intolerant (and who hasn’t drunk animal milk for a good twenty years), who sneezed (red eyes as a bonus) a few minutes after having taken a sip of this ‘local’ Rohmilch.

She made it clear to me how irritated she was by this experience, and she fervently blamed herself for giving in to my suggestion. However, I must admit that I was the first to be surprised by the reaction she developed so quickly after drinking just one sip. I had concluded that she was perhaps one of the very few people who were truly intolerant to animal milk, even if it were raw.

Nevertheless, a few weeks later, she agreed to test the Gaborit milk (from Jersey cows), which I again had access to. She not only had no reaction to it, but she even felt so good that she drank a whole glass half an hour later.

During the eleven months without the Gaborit milk, I developed five small cavities, as verified by my dentist. I had an appointment to have them filled, and while waiting, was able to get the French milk again. I went to the dentist today and she couldn’t believe her eyes.

In the space of less than a month during which I was once again able to obtain the real certified raw milk from France, all the previously damaged teeth had calcified and hardened as a kind of self-healing, to the point that she told me that there was nothing more that needed to be done.

The milk produced by the Swiss dairy is biodynamic and has the Demeter label. The cows are brown Swiss. I therefore assume that the cows are fed according to anthroposophical guidelines. However, this dairy also produces pasteurized milk, so I wondered whether their Rohmilch is really 100% raw and, above all, non-thermized.

When I contacted them, they assured me that the milk was not heat-treated in any way, only that they passed it through a cellulose membrane aimed to remove any impurities or dirt from the milk — but I think this is done with all milk and is not a damaging process unless done under high pressure.”

We do not know whether this milk was passed under pressure through a membrane or subjected to the same high pressure processing techniques now used for juice, smoothies and so many other “cold processed” foods, but it is clear that pressure reduces the healing properties of Nature’s perfect food.

Since we have no idea what HPP does to the nutritional qualities of the food we eat, it’s best to exercise caution: make your own salad dressing, salsa and guacamole, cook from scratch, only buy oysters that have been shucked before you, and above all, stick to real, raw milk purchased directly from a farmer you know.

Yale School of Medicine: Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Vaccinations

Did you know that in 2017, Yale University did a study using information from a health insurance claims database? Their researchers examined correlations between specific vaccines & various neurological disorders in children ages 6-15. They reported that patients diagnosed with/neuropsychiatric disorders like OCD & anorexia nervosa were more likely to have received vaccines 3 months prior to their diagnosis. And the scientists found correlations for one vaccine in particular, associated with higher rates of OCD, anorexia, anxiety disorders and tic disorders. Of course, as ALWAYS, the researchers say that a bigger, more in-depth study should be done. To my knowledge, it hasn’t been. I wonder why? The vaccine in question? The flu shot.

Head of the UK Office of National Statistics (ONS) ignores data request from 7 Members of Parliament

A month ago, 7 MPs requested additional data analysis from the UK ONS. Essentially, they asked for an existing report to be run with different parameters. The head of the ONS ignored the request.

On March 2, seven Members of Parliament sent a letter to the Chief Executive of the UK Office of National Statistics requesting that an analysis be re-run using a finer level of granularity than the ONS has used in the past.

MP Andrew Bridgen was the author of the letter.

It’s now April 4. No response.

Which means Professor Diamond has basically ghosted 7 MPs making a reasonable request.

Why did he do that?

I believe it is because there is no rational way to deny their request and if he complied with it, it would reveal that the vaccines are unsafe.

It seems pretty clear to me that the good Professor is not working for the people of the UK.

New survey confirms that vaccines are, by far, the #1 cause of chronic disease in America

I recently asked my readers to tell me about their chronic health conditions.

The single most important conclusion is this

In all 58 conditions we asked about where we had sufficient data to compute an odds ratio, the vaccine always made the condition worse.

In other words, the medical community has gotten it backwards for decades. When you combine this with the realization that vaccines provide a benefit that is too small to measure as described here for the highly acclaimed COVID and flu vaccines, it’s clear that we should be stopping most, if not all, vaccines.

In fact, for the COVID vaccines, we have FOIA data showing that the vaccines make things worse and over a dozen attempts to ask the Santa Clara County of Public Health for comment have been ignored.

This is fundamentally why the NIH will never do a study comparing the highly vaccinated to the completely unvaccinated: it would blow the narrative and destroy their credibility.

Other important results of the survey include:

  1. 3.3X higher likelihood you’ll have 1 or more chronic diseases (OR 3.45 [95% CI: 3.02-3.96]). The one-sided p-value was 1.6e-78, something you don’t see very often. It basically means that this was not caused by random chance.
  2. 7X higher likelihood you’ll have 5 or more chronic conditions requiring treatment (drugs or therapies) (OR 7.03 [95% CI: 4.24-12.32]).
  3. 4X higher likelihood of a birth defect if the mother was vaccinated during the pregnancy (OR 4.31 [95% CI: 2.39-7.51]). That’s a huge effect. Nearly 80% of the birth defects are caused by the mother being vaccinated during pregnancy (actual value is 76.8%).
  4. 14.5X higher likelihood of sexual orientation/gender dysphoria issues in people under age 60 (OR 14.49 [95% CI: 2.33- 598.86]). This is a stunning result that isn’t discussed. Basically, 93% of the cases of sexual orientation issues are caused by vaccines.

The good news is that we can reduce chronic diseases in America by 70% with one simple change: tell people to stop taking the vaccines that are making them sick. That’s it. No new medications are needed. Just one policy change communicated from the CDC. It could literally happen tomorrow. It costs nothing.

And there needs to be full data transparency about all these vaccines so people can see how badly they were fooled.

The efficacy data for all vaccines is easy to gather, but we aren’t allowed to access the data to do the studies. This article shows how easy it is to expose the fraud. This research can be replicated for every disease if the government made the data available.
