The article states: More and more we are hearing about technologies that will not just interact with us but the intent it to make them PART OF US, and while many will champion this as an advancement, the opportunities for tyrants and other criminals to hack into and even control or kill people via this technology is very concerning. Yet, with all the warmongering taking place in the District of Criminals today, this is at the forefront of warfare, as well as times of so-called peace.

But I can see more problems than that. The more one understands about the mind (as a function distinct from the physical brain) the more troubling one finds this development.

Speaking purely for myself, there’s many a negative or destructive thought from my Reactive mind has crossed my Analytical mind that I would have zero intention of actioning.

The more civilized we become the more when censor the non-optimum and only allow the creative and constructive to be voiced and acted on.

How is the technology supposed to know the difference between between random or “no intent to act on” thoughts and deliberate intentions?

I can just imagine a private being given an order with which he has a severe disagreement and responding with the thought, “That Sergeant needs a bullet to the head!”, something he would never do. What response will that elicit from the software?

In battle you want instant responses from software that is supposed to speed responses to ensure your survival. However in the above situation, an instantaneous response is going to land our private in deep doggy do-do.
