The HHS is The Department of Health and Human Services of the US government, which has jurisdiction over public health, welfare, and civil rights issues and is the highest-level US government body with such jurisdiction.
In the early 1980s, when I was investigating the issue of vaccine safety for my children, one of the telling issues for me was the gross lack of transparency and obvious bias of the pro vaccine interests.
In all that time nothing has improved, it has only gotten worse.
Those who are supposed to be protecting the health, welfare and interests of we the people are instead serving vested interest groups.
It is imperative to your knowledge, wealth, health and well being that you do not blindly trust anyone, ever! Me included! Do your own homework and make up your own mind about things. What you are told on the evening TV is rarely true. Even if the stated facts are irrefutable, they are usually exaggerated, skewed and incomplete. Most often if you took the 180 degree opposite viewpoint you would be more right than wrong.
I have had many people ask versions of the question, “How do I find what diet is best for me?” Last week I received an email extolling the virtues of this book and, on reading the promotion for it on his web site, the concepts make perfect sense to me. So if you are interested in improving your diet, check this out! From the introduction:

There are better gift-givers, name-rememberers, weight-lifters, temper-controllers, confidence-carriers, and friendship-makers. There is no one person who is the best at all these things, who doesn’t have room to improve in one or more of them. So if you can find the humility to accept this about yourself, what you will realize is that the world is one giant classroom. Go about your day with an openness and a joy about this fact. Look at every interaction as an opportunity to learn from and of the people you meet. You will be amazed at how quickly you grow, how much better you get.
