Early antibiotic use linked to allergies

Babies given antibiotics in the first two years of life are more likely to develop allergies as adults, according to an extensive analysis of past clinical studies involving nearly 400,000 people.
The findings, to be presented today at the European Respiratory Society annual meeting in London, point to a clear association with the risk of eczema or hay fever later in life.
Some previous research has suggested a link between early antibiotic use and allergies, but the results have been inconsistent.
Lead researcher Fariba Ahmadizar of Utrecht University said antibiotics most likely disrupted the body’s immune system by impacting on microbes in the gut, which can negatively affect immune responses.
Scientists have long puzzled over soaring allergy rates in developed countries, with many speculating that changing exposure to germs in childhood may be to blame, although the precise mechanism for this remains unclear.
The latest research involved trawling back through 22 studies conducted between 1966 and 2015.
After pooling the results, Ahmadizar and colleagues found an increased risk of eczema due to early life use of antibiotics of 15 to 41 per cent, while hay fever risk increased by 14 to 56 per cent.
The association with allergies was stronger if patients received more than one course of antibiotics early in life.
Adam Finn, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Bristol, who was not involved in the research, said the findings added weight to evidence of the long-term downside from antibiotic use.

CDC Admits 98 Million Americans Were Given Cancer Virus Via The Polio Shot

CDC_Polio
The CDC has admitted that between 1955–1963 over 98 million Americans received one or more doses of a polio shot which was contaminated with a cancer-causing virus called Simian vacuolating virus 40 (SV40). The CDC quickly took down the page, along with Google, but the site was luckily cached and saved to symbolize this grand admission.
And to believe that some people do not believe it could happen again!
To further confirm this unbelievable admission, Assistant Professor of Pathology at Loyola University in Chicago Dr. Michele Carbone has been able to independently verify the presence of the SV40 virus in tissue and bone samples from patients who died during that era. He found that 33% of the samples with osteosarcoma bone cancers, 40% of other bone cancers, and 60% of the mesothelioma’s lung cancers all contained this obscure virus. This leaves the postulation that upwards of 10–30 million actually contracted and were adversely affected by this virus, to be deadly accurate.

Those Who Say It Cannot Be Done Should Get Out Of The Way Of Those Doing It

Those Who Say It Cannot Be Done Should Get Out Of The Way Of Those Doing It
I just happened to be putting some stuff away in the lounge tonight when there was an interview between a famous brain surgeon and an artist/chef doing a potrait of him.
Apparently the surgeon has a reputation for being a maverick because he takes on cases other surgeons have called “inoperable”.
The surgeon, I think his name is Charlie, said another surgeon who he respected came to see him at the request of his colleagues to ask him to stop taking cases that others had called inoperable.
Charlie showed him an x-ray of a brain tumour and asked his visitor if he could operated on it. The visitor said, “Yes.”
Charlie then asked if he would not do so if another surgeon had said it was inoperable.
The visitor said, “I do that every day.”
So every day this surgeon condemns people to death out of deference to the status quo. Out of protecting the reputation of his less competent colleagues.
I relay the story to you not for the shock and horror of the putrid, unethical actions of those who protect vested interests, for they abound.
No, I share the story so you know to at least get at least a second, third, fourth or even tenth opinion if you are told you have an inoperable or incurable condition.
I am reminded of the Chinese saying, “Those who say it can’t be done should get out of the way of those doing it!”
