This is a very good read. My observation is that most people are confused enough already! Kids more so! No need to introduce more lies and false data into the mix. Our job as parents, adults and role models is to show kids a stable, certain environment where natural laws are known, observable and phenomenon can be predicted. This give a child certainty. And I read the most important thing you can do for a person is to increase their certainty! This gender selection does nothing to increase certainty and everything to reduce it. Therefore as well as being unnatural and a lie, it is destructive.
Research published 4 June 2018 in Nature Medicine by scientists at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) has described a new immunotherapy approach, which led to a complete disappearance of tumors in a woman with advanced metastatic breast cancer who only had months to live.
Part of the agreement is a recognition that no government may sign any agreement that binds its people to it forever and that any such a treaty must be reviewed, say, every five years and voted upon by the people in a referendum. That way we can put an end to some bozo in government signing some daft treaty that creates problems for every future generation of the country.
We draw up a Code of Conduct for Governments. This is a new idea all by itself, I think. We have codes of conduct and standards of behaviour for people but we really, really need to have one for governments as well. The behaviour of many governments, by any rational decent standards, is often a total disgrace. If a person behaved the way many a government behaves, we’d lock the bastard up sand throw away the key!
This operates as a sort of moral code by which each government abides. It would, for example, include precepts such as (see above) not signing treaties that are binding in perpetuity upon people who are not even born let alone never voted on it.
The Code would also include common sense precepts such as NO arbitrary arrest or incarceration of ANYONE for ANY reason without a fair, impartial hearing in a court of law and then only based upon criminal ACTIONS that cause harm (murder, rape, arson etc etc) and NOT expressing an opinion, being a bit weird and so forth.
An explosion in the use of antidepressants has been linked to the tragic rise in the number of youth suicides in Australia.
As a result, experts in the field — and the nation’s leading suicide prevention organisations — stand accused of getting the management of depression “horribly wrong”.
Suicides among young Australians have leapt by nearly 40 per cent since 2009 at the same time as the use of antidepressants has surged by 60 per cent in this age group, research shows.
More than 430,000 Australians aged under 27 (up from 149,538 in 2008) are now using antidepressants including over 100,000 under the age of 17 (up from 29,773 in 2008), Health Department figures show.
