Do you really know what goes on behind the scenes of a psych ward?
Unless you have been there, I am sure you do not or there would be a hue and cry like nothing we have seen and no psych hospitals would be standing.
And yet a few weeks ago on a rare sunny day in November, my friend Joey and I were on our way to one to help a kid who was being detained there against his will.
A doctor who underwent 21 sessions of a controversial ‘electric shock’ therapy to combat her depression claims the treatment has left her brain damaged and unemployable.
Dr Susan Cunliffe, 48, had 21 sessions of the electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) at Worcestershire Royal Hospital between 2004 and 2005 to combat depression following the break-up of her marriage.
But she claims the ECT treatment, which sees patients have an electric current sent through their brain to trigger an epileptic fit, has left her permanently damaged.
The mother-of-three says her speech and mobility have been reduced and she has been left unable to do her job.
She is now demanding an independent scientific study is carried out to examine the effects of ECT.
Dr Cunliffe said: ‘By the time I finished ECT I was left with memory problems, an inability to recognise faces or to navigate.
‘Towards the end my hands shook, I couldn’t walk in a straight line and I fell over repeatedly.
‘I couldn’t walk through doors without bumping into door frames.
‘My speech was slurred and I had word finding problems.’
The article goes on to say ECT is extremely effective. It doesn’t say effective at what. I will though. At destroying creativity and functionality.
Our members have consistently told us they wanted the AVN to do one thing above all others – to help with a study that compares the health of the fully vaccinated vs the unvaccinated.
This is the study the AVN went to Federal Parliament to ask for back in 2002. Eighteen years on – still not study!
This is the study Prof Peter McIntyre stated, when put on the spot in a live Sunrise TV program 6 years ago, was already happening. Six years later – still no study!
The study is FINALLY happening!
Dr James Lyons-Weiler, PhD, one of our excellent Q & A speakers from the recent VaxXed tour, and author of The Environmental and Genetic Causes of Autism, has initiated a study into this very question – who is healthier – the vaccinated or the unvaccinated?
Through the Institute of Pure and Applied Knowledge (IPAK) he and his team are conducting a study that will be published following peer review They are not accepting any money from the pharmaceutical industry but instead, are funding this completely via donations from the general public.

The 2019 Vaxxed/Unvaxxed Study will be conducted with the data from a well-respected practice in the United States that has large numbers of children who are fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, and unvaccinated. The data is to be analyzed by IPAK, which provides assurance that the study will be regulatory compliant and will be conducted following Institutional Review Board approval. The study design will be based on the feedback and approval from the IRB, and the study will be published following peer review.

A groundbreaking report by the United Nations highlighting the rapid, widespread loss of many of the world’s plant and animal species should be on the front page of every newspaper in the world, argued climate action and food access advocates on Friday.
The global grassroots organization Slow Food was among the groups that called for far greater attention by world leaders to the “debilitating” loss of biodiversity and the disastrous effects the decline is having on food system, which was outlined in a first-of-its kind report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
“This should be at the top of every news bulletin and every government’s agenda around the world,” said Slow Food in a statement. “Time is running out, we must turn things around within the next 10 years or risk a total and irreversible collapse.”

The pharmaceutical industry’s image has been significantly damaged in recent years as the public discovered the role its aggressive marketing played in fueling the opioid epidemic. But the American people are still largely in the dark about what may be pharma’s most effective tactic for pushing drugs — marketing diseases.
There’s a substantial body of medical literature dating back to the early ’90s about the practice known as “disease mongering.” Pharmaceutical companies regularly pathologize everyday experiences, convince doctors that they are serious problems, tell a hypochondriacal public it needs help and offers the cure: a new drug. Against the onslaught of billions of dollars in marketing campaigns each year, however, researchers’ warnings about these tactics have gone largely unheeded.
According to the Mayo Clinic, nearly 70 percent of Americans take at least one prescription drug.
Adriane Fugh-Berman, a professor of pharmacology at Georgetown University Medical Center, said the pharmaceutical industry medicalizes normal life by positing that a vague, highly relatable, everyday condition is symptomatic of a newly invented disease. In other cases, pharma exaggerates the prevalence or severity of an existing condition to entice more customers.
“Marketing for a drug can start seven to 10 years before they go on the market. Because it’s illegal to promote a drug before it goes on the market, what they’re promoting is the disease. That’s not illegal to do because there’s no regulation on creating diseases,” Fugh-Berman told Yahoo News.
Lisa Schwartz and Steven Woloshin, co-directors of the Center for Medicine and Media at Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, said disease-awareness campaigns may seem caring or educational but are often just marketing in disguise. The campaigns often follow three basic steps: lower the bar for diagnosis, raise the stakes so people want to get tested and spin the evidence about a drug’s benefits and risks. These steps were seen in campaigns on testosterone deficiency, bipolar disorder and restless leg syndrome.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has just received a letter from Deputy Inspector General William Blier regarding the petition stating:

The IG has sent Kennedy’s allegations of Fraud & Obstruction of Justice by Department of Health and Human Services attornies to the Department of Justices Office of Professional Responsibility.
Here’s an excerpt from the letter which was made public earlier today by childrenshealthdefense.org.
“Based on our review, we have determined that your letter contains allegations of misconduct by Department of Justice attorneys in the course of their representing the Department of Health and Human Services in connection with the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Accordingly, we are required by law to refer your allegations to the OPR. We have provided your letter and accompanying materials to OPR for action it determines to be appropriate.”
While this language may seem like a formality, it moves Kennedy’s case into a higher department in the DOJ’s chain. This means further exposure and deeper scrutiny.
