Vegetarians, Vegans, B12 and AFA

For my US based readers (and fast responding Aussies)…
One of the things I often ask vegans is,
“Do you get your blood tested for B12 level?”
Most don’t. Which is a shame as you can read from this article.
“There is some controversy over whether or not AFA is an effective source of vitamin B12. Many natural sources of vitamin B12 have been shown to be biologically inadequate. However, preliminary research conducted by Italy’s Department of Neurorehabilitation at Villa Salus Hospital evaluated the vitamin B12 levels of 15 vegan subjects who had supplemented with an algae product from Lake Klamath and found their B12 levels increased over a control group.
“Although not absolutely conclusive, researchers believed the preliminary research supported the argument that AFA is a reliable source of vitamin B12. Baroni L, Scoglio S, Benedetti S, Bonetto C, Pagliarani S, Benedetti Y, Rocchi M, Canestrari F. Effect of a Klamath algae product (AFA-B12) on blood levels of vitamin B12 and homocysteine in vegan subjects: a pilot study. Int J Vitam Nutr Res. 2009 Mar;79(2):117-23. doi: 10.1024/0300-9831.79.2.117. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20108213”
AFA or Blue Green Klamath has also been found to increase the release of stem cells from bones, a process which diminishes as we age. This is why I include AFA in my top bars and powders – to slow the process and reduce the signs of aging.
It has been an expensive month for purchasing raw materials. I have just spend over $5,000 for some AFA and another $5,000 for some fulvic minerals.
Here’s an email I received yesterday. Sorry about the late notice but, as I said, I have been incredibly busy.

The Products of Social Media Posting

This morning I received this email that I thought to share, specifically for those with a business they promote on social media.
Hi Tom
Do you know the 3 core objectives of social media posts?
• 1. Drive traffic back to your site
• 2. Boost credibility and trust/establish yourself as an authority or expert
• 3. Boost “Social Juice” (get likes, +1, shares, retweets etc)
Keep those in mind when you are writing your posts and you’ll see a HUGE improvement in your results from social media.
Making sure your posts are crafted to include elements that help you reach those objectives is the foundation of a successful social media campaign.
Hope that tip is helpful for you!

A Note On The Judiciary

A Note On The Judiciary

Human nature has been the constant through the ages. Jefferson understood this and he learned from it and warned us of it. A great man and a great thinker.
It is amazing how our founders predicted the growth in power of both the executive and judicial branches. Their confidence in the electorate being able to restrain these overreaches has proven to be misplaced unfortunately. I doubt they foresaw the rise of professional politicians since they seemed to view public service as a duty (and burden), not an occupation.
