One of my principle concerns with the current scene is the rapidly escalating speed with which human rights are being trampled. The lack of peace in certain regions is proof positive that these principles are actually valid and needed, more than ever.
This trend needs to be reversed. The entrance point is educating people that they do have rights. Hence this post and the request you share these posts so more people are aware of and insist upon their rights so that we can live in a peaceful society.
Watch the video and if you think so too, please share it!
Do you know it is a fundamental right of yours to have your own opinion? You would not think so from the way some people (including the government) try to belittle you for disagreeing with them but it is.

Dear Tom, Your voice just changed Victoria’s future. This afternoon, media is reporting that the Andrews Labor Government has backflipped on its unprecedented attempt to strip away the rights of Victorians with eleventh-hour changes to its COVID-19 Omnibus Bill. This change occurred after significant political, online and media pressure from Victorians like you and your family, as the Liberal Nationals were able to secure enough crossbenchers to stop this bad idea from becoming law. Media reports state the “fierce backlash from the Opposition and Upper House crossbench MPs over the new laws” has forced Labor to “abandon the controversial preventative detention powers in the bill and tighten the scope of authorised officers”. This is thanks to you. With your support through our #NoConfidenceLabor campaign, we have blocked some of the most unprecedented, excessive and open-to-abuse measures in this Bill, but we will look closely at the new amended legislation and keep you updated on further issues as they arise. Thank you again for joining with us to stand up for the rights and freedoms of Victorians – many of whom will never know or understand just how bad this law could have been. The Victorian Liberals will continue to fight to protect your freedoms. Yours sincerely, MICHAEL O’BRIEN MP Leader of the Liberal Party Leader of the Victorian Opposition |
Seems Mark Twain was right again when he said: “If you don’t read the newspaper, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed.”
These days with social media it is very easy to get many viewpoints on the same incident, which is a lot more than you can say for the main stream media.
Why? Because those who run the media outlets are controlled by their sponsors. The biggest ad revenue comes from drug companies who make no money if you are well and happy. So there is a financial incentiove for drug companies to make you unwell and unhappy because then you take their pills. Do not fall into that trap. Educate yourself on what to eat and do to stay well and happy.
My book is, I have been told by more than one reader, a great resource for you to have: https://www.howtolivethehealthiestlife.com/
There was a farmer who grew excellent quality wheat and every season he won the award for the best grown in his county. One year a reporter from the local newspaper interviewed the farmer and learned that each Spring the man shared his seed with his neighbors so that they too could plant it in their fields.
“How can you afford to share your best wheat seed with your neighbors when they are entering their crops in the competition with yours?” the reporter asked.
“Why that’s very simple,” the farmer explained, “the wind picks up pollen from the developing wheat and carries it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior wheat, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of all the wheat, including mine. If I am to grow good wheat, I must help my neighbors grow good wheat.”
The reporter realized how the farmer’s explanation also applied to peoples’ lives in the most fundamental way. Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.
