The prerequisite for peace is not disarmament, it is trust.
Until we can trust one another there will be no peace.
Until we can trust one another it behooves men of goodwill to be able to defend them and theirs against people not of good will.
So, let us start the process by creating a society of men we can trust and not doing it wrong way round by first disarming those who still need to protect themselves.
