Co-founders of artificial intelligence company Metaphysic, Chris Ume and Thomas Graham, stunned the audience on America’s Got Talent as they created a ‘deepfake’ audition of Simon Cowell singing Chicago’s “You’re the Inspiration.” It is so realistic, that even Simon Cowell is flustered and embarrassed at the start. Using artificial intelligence, they are able to create their own version of familiar people doing unusual things.
Edgar Allan Poe said, “Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.” The improved technology is making that “half” seem pretty generous!
