Statins and Type 2 Diabetes Risk

There are plenty of risks and they’re all serious health issues. Actually the risks FAR outweigh the benefits. ESPECIALLY if you already have type 2 diabetes.

Statins are the primary drug that doctors prescribe to lower cholesterol. Statins are a fairly recent pharmaceutical creation that work by blocking an enzyme in the liver that is responsible for making cholesterol.

Statins became one of the most-prescribed medications when the guidelines for the high end of total cholesterol guidelines were reduced down to 200 a few years ago.

Now, tens of millions of Americans are taking cholesterol-lowering drugs, thinking this is the best way to prevent heart disease. In fact, about 30 percent of American men and women over age 40 take a statin.

The problem is that statins come with a host of side effects which can be pretty significant. One of the more serious side effects of statins is the significant increased risk of type 2 diabetes. The latest study on this connection shows the link may be even stronger than was previously reported.

Researchers prospectively studied 8,567 men and women whose average age was 64. All were free of diabetes and not taking statins when the study started. In a follow-up study 15 years later, about 12 percent of the group had started taking statins, most using either Zocor or Lipitor (simvastatin or atorvastatin) and the rest either Pravachol or Lescol (pravastatin or fluvastatin). Most took the statins for over a year, and 716 new cases of diabetes occurred in the group.

After controlling for age, sex, smoking, family history of diabetes, and other factors, researchers found that statin use was associated with higher risk for insulin resistance and high blood sugar, and with a 38 percent increased risk for the development of Type 2 diabetes.

Think the Oxford jab’s safe? – 2nd Gov. update on adverse reactions to Covid Vaccines released!

We told you last week how the UK Government had released a report highlighting adverse reactions to both the Pfizer and Oxford / Astrazeneca vaccines. The report covered data inputted to the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme from the 9th December 2020 up to the 24th January 2021. Well the UK Government has since released a second edition of the report up to the 31st January 2021, and things have not improved.

In the previous report we told you how the rate of adverse reactions to the Covid vaccines equated to 1 in every 333 people. Well we’re sorry to report (but not surprised) that the rate has now increased. The rate now equates to 1 in every 250 people suffering with adverse reactions to the Covid vaccines.

Last time we told you about some of the major adverse reactions to the Pfizer vaccine, these included 5 people going blind, 21 people suffering brain damage, 4 miscarriages, 7 cases of sudden death and overall 107 reported fatal outcomes.

Well this time we decided to take a look at some of the more serious adverse reactions to the Oxford / Astrazeneca vaccine and this is what we found…

NSW: Urgent call for submissions to support Mark Latham’s parental rights bill

The NSW Parliament needs to hear from you to enable it to protect parents’ rights.

The Education Legislation Amendment (Parental Rights) Bill 2020 strengthens a parent’s right to choose the moral and religious education their child receives and will also better inform parents of what is happening in the classroom.

Please let your voice be heard by completing this survey. The Parliament is tallying the results and are taking these responses very seriously.

This is the one platform it has provided for individuals to be heard on this issue.

The Parental Rights Bill, tabled by Mark Latham MLC, will ban the teaching of gender fluidity in all NSW Schools. The Bill will also require that teachers recognise the role of parents in the education of their children with respect to religious and moral education!

  • Koch’s postulates are four criteria designed to establish a causative relationship between a microbe and a disease. The postulates were formulated by Robert Koch and Friedrich Loeffler in 1884, based on earlier concepts described by Jakob Henle, and refined and published by Koch in 1890. The four are:

    1. The microorganism or other pathogen must be present in all cases of the disease

2. The pathogen can be isolated from the diseased host and grown in pure culture

3. The pathogen from the pure culture must cause the disease when inoculated into a healthy, susceptible laboratory animal

4. The pathogen must be reisolated from the new host and shown to be the same as the originally inoculated pathogen

Cath Erin writes: If you don’t find this disturbing then I think maybe you should look at why human rights correlate with health. He also delayed the enquiry into mental health damage caused! When you ignore rights, you are NOT protecting lives.
 
Decrease in human rights = increased morbidity and mortality (deaths). This is WHY guidelines that are WELL ESTABLISHED clearly outline the importance of maintaining the least disruption to society NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES!
