Fruit is not only enjoyable to eat — as it should be, considering the very word fruit stems from the Latin word frui, meaning “to enjoy, use” — but it also nourishes and protects the body with powerful, built-in medicinal activity. Fruits are by design a “perfect food,” intended to entice animals to consume them in order to help disseminate their seeds, for instance. This means that unlike grains, and other lectin- and anti-nutrient-rich organisms, e.g. wheat, tomato, beans, we humans have chosen to make into our food, fruits are less likely to come equipped with “invisible thorns,” as they benefit as much in being eaten as we do in eating them. Also, like our now hard-wired biological dependence on obtaining vitamin C from external sources (unlike most animals we can not produce it from glucose), countless millennia of fruit consumption has left our genetic infrastructure in need of continual resupply of many of the key vitamins and phytocompounds they contain copious quantities of.

6 Bodily Tissues That Can Be Regenerated Through Nutrition

It may come as a surprise to some, especially those with conventional medical training, but the default state of the body is one of ceaseless regeneration. Without the flame-like process of continual cell turnover within the body – life and death ceaselessly intertwined – the miracle of the human body would not exist.
In times of illness, however, regenerative processes are overcome by degenerative ones. This is where medicine may perform its most noble feat, nudging the body back into balance with foods, herbs, nutrients, healing energies, i.e. healing intention. Today, however, drug-based medicine invariably uses chemicals that have not one iota of regenerative potential; to the contrary, they almost always interfere with bodily self-renewal in order to suppress the symptoms against which they are applied.
Despite the outright heretical nature of things which stimulate healing and regeneration vis-à-vis the conventional medical system which frowns upon, or is incredulous towards, spontaneous remission in favor of symptom suppression and disease management, over the course of the past few years of trolling MEDLINE we have collected a series of remarkable studies on the topic…

Five years later, Colorado sees toll of pot legalization

Commercial pot’s five-year anniversary is an odious occasion for those who want safer streets, healthier kids and less suffering associated with substance abuse. Experts say the worst effects of widespread pot use will culminate over decades. If so, we can only imagine the somber nature of Big Marijuana’s 25th birthday.

Jack LaLanne said his two simple rules of nutrition are “If man made it, don’t eat it!” and “If it tastes good, spit it out!” Read up on him, quite a guy!

How Did We Lose Nutrition From Our Food Supply? – A Timeline
| Activity | Prime Purpose |
| In the beginning… Each individual or family unit foraged and/or hunted for food |
Survival |
| Then Families coalesced into small communities to do better at the hunter/gatherer game |
Division of Labour More Assured Survival |
| Over time We specialised (some gathered, some farmed, some hunted) and traded |
Division of Labour More Assured Survival Wider Variety of Foods |
| This developed further Larger and more risky trading required capital and risk sharing so corporations were born |
Wider Variety of Foods Profit |
| Which led to Larger corporations gaining control of seed strains, grazing and farming lands and adopting strategies that maximise yield rather than nutrition |
Profit |
| And we now have Very large corporations in control of food distribution, manufacture, marketing and retailing, growing low nutrient crops with artificail fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides in a way that is destructive to our health, preparing foods with toxins and sugar that destroy our health, promoting destructive additives and ingredients as healthy when they are far from it. |
Larger Profits |
Collectives, specialisation, trading and risk sharing are not necessarily bad developments. If you had ethical people involved all along the line there are advantages to grouping, specialisation, trade and economies of scale. It is when you introduce the prority of profit over the quality of the product produced that you have the problems we have today.
This needs to change. Every dollar you spend props up the current system and degrades your and others’ health or contributes to building a better system.
Please choose wisely.
Red Face After Drinking? A Dead Giveaway of Alcohol’s Damaging Effects

It doesn’t happen to everyone, but for some people, going out and having drinks results in a deeply flushed face. Why? Because their bodies are not fully able to process the alcohol they consume, so an alcohol-related chemical called acetaldehyde builds up in their bodies. It’s the acetaldehyde that triggers the flushed face.

New Findings Show Avoiding GMOs Improves Health
My new peer-reviewed piece (summarized below) may be the most important article I’ve ever written. It redefines how we think and speak about genetically modified organisms (GMOs), Roundup®, and organic diets. I know it does for me. Survey results reveal that 3,256 people reported improvements in 28 health conditions after reducing their GMO intake. Many conditions were “nearly” or “completely” recovered.
