Do you know what is in your food?

Do you know what is in your food? What about your friends and family, do they have any idea what they are eating? Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMOs, are everywhere.
“Currently commercialized GM crops in the U.S. include: soy (91 percent), cotton (71 percent), canola (88 percent), corn (85 percent), Hawaiian papaya (more than 50 percent), zucchini and yellow squash (small amount) and sugar beets (90 percent).”
These crops are in almost every processed food in America, and you have almost no way of knowing that they are there. The fact is, unless you are buying Organic, you are probably consuming GMOs. The FDA says they are safe; but there has never been long term independent safety tests to make sure.
“The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) reported that, ‘Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,’ including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system.”
Yet most people don’t even know they are consuming GMOs. Please tell your friends, talk to your family, and discuss these things with your neighbors. It is up to us to spread the message.
