Mitochondrial Rejuvenator

Your mitochondria are the little energy production units inside our cells. They are responsible for 90% of the energy required to run your body. When they are not functioning optimally, we get tired, lack focus and energy, feel worn out or run-down. Well, I saw an advertisement for a mitochondrial rejuvenator. Here are the contents of that formula.

D-Ribose
L-Carnitine or Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALC)
DMG N-Dimethylglycine HCI
Rhodiola
CoQ10

As per usual, the above is a but a short list of those nutrients that will help any given function or condition. I searched my book, ‘How To Live The Healthiest Life’, for substances beneficial to mitochondrial function and I provide that list here for you:

Alpha Lipoic Acid
Ginkgo Biloba
Magnesium
Melatonin
Methylene Blue
NADH
Niacin
PQQ
Riboflavin (B2)
Sulfur-rich foods (Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts)
Taurine
Vitamin K2
Vitamin D3

Other Things You Can Do
Limiting your fat content to 30% or less of your caloric intake.
Avoiding high amounts of omega-6 linoleic acid (LA), with which seed oils and processed foods are loaded.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) strongly supports mitochondrial function.
IF (Intermittent Fasting) also supports mitochondrial health. For a maximum of 12 hours a day to avoid endocrine disruption.

Another excellent resource is Dr Terry Wahls who cured herself of MS. Her 17 minute video, “Minding Your Mitochondria” is inspirational and can be viewed at:
