This is what sanity looks like. When good people are free to protect themselves, their loved ones, friends and associates from bad people. When you take guns away from good people the only people you are protecting is the bad guys.
Remember, a criminal is one because he cannot follow rules. So banning him from owing a gun is never going to work. Just like banning drugs has not removed them from the streets. Where there is demand, supply will follow.
