Every elected US official mandating lockdowns is acting unconstitutionally!

I previously forwarded a correctly worded post on US constitutional law attributed to a wrong authorship. Here is the text and the link to where it may be verified:

“It is sometimes argued that the existence of an emergency allows the existence and operation of powers, national or state, which violate the inhibitions of the Federal Constitution. The rule is quite otherwise. NO emergency justifies the violation of any of the provisions of the United States Constitution.” Section 71

“…Neither the legislature nor any executive or judicial officer may disregard the provisions of the Constitution in case of an emergency…” Section 98

Therefore, ANYONE who declares the suspension of constitutionally guaranteed rights (to freely travel, peaceably assemble, earn a living, freely worship, etc.) and/or attempts to enforce such suspension within the 50 independent, sovereign, continental United states of America, is making war against our constitution(s) and, therefore, we, the people. They violate their constitutional oath and, thus, immediately forfeit their office and authority and their proclamations may be disregarded with impunity and that means ANYONE; even the Governor and President!

One of my principle concerns with the current scene is the rapidly escalating speed with which human rights are being trampled.

The UK just passed a 350+ page bill that gives the government unfettered, tyrannical powers.

The USA and Australia are undertaking similarly ill advised actions.

This trend needs to be reversed. The entrance point is educating people that they do have rights.

There are a few people who do a lot of posting on Facebook about the same sort of issues I do, many of which I include here. I thanked one of them her for her efforts.

She replied, “Thanks Tom… …some don’t agree of course.”

I said, “They are not the low-hanging fruit that “buy” the truth quickly. No point in spending lots of time on those that require such a time-expensive effort. Our job is to provide evidence to backup and reinforce those seeking confirmation and to open the eyes of the easiest to convince of the truth.”

I recalled hearing that 80% of people don’t think, they feel or emote (indulge in an emotional reaction to external stimuli rather than a reasoned response).

Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

So if you are having a hard time trying to wake your spouse, family or friends to an issue about which you see things diffferently, recognise that they are among the 80% who take a lot of time and effort to turn around. Does not mean we love them any the less, or care any the less, it just means we are pushing our relationship with them trying to change their reality faster than they can easily accept. And we have to allocate our resources where they are most likely to accomplish the end goal. Of course the more experienced and competent you get at communicationg truth to a wide variety of people, the more success you will have with the more challenging souls.

At least that’s the way I see it.

I threw together a quick graph to illustrate the point. On the left we have the highly accessible (to reason and evidence) few. Past those 20% the accessibilty plummets and the degree of difficulty skyrockets.


If you are not spending the vast majority of your time with like minded or easily accessible people, not only wll you need to be an extremely dedicated and emotionally robust person to weather the storms, you will not be making the progress at reaching the many who will “push the same barrow” as you are pushing.

Many years ago I did Economics at year 12 level. The text said the first rule of economics was that there are always more things to spend money on than you have money to spend. (I think it went rapidly down hill from there in terms of truth and workability but that’s a whole ‘nother conversation!)

The same holds true for time. You have only so many minutes a day, no matter how committed you are. To make as much progress as possible you need to also be strong on the other quality Margaret Mead mentioned, thoughtful.

Let’s say you have 20 peole in your “close” circle. Two of them think the same as you do on your prime passion. You could spend your available time trying to talk some of the other 18 around or you could find another 2 like minded souls in the next 20 people you know.

Based on my experience and the stories of frustration I hear from others, you will suffer less stress, you will enjoy better relations with the members of your “18” and you will build a larger group faster of like minded people if you continue casting your net broadly rather than work on changing the minds of the 18.

At least that’s the way I see it.
