Stroke – Symptoms and Handlings

Stroke Diagram

During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall. Those present offered to call paramedics but she assured everyone that she was fine, she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Jane’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital and at 6:00 PM Jane had passed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ.

Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the ’3’ steps, STR.

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

If you notice anything untoward in a person’s behaviour or actions, ask three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. Chicken Soup)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke – Stick out Your Tongue

Another sign of a stroke is this: Ask the person to poke out their tongue. If the tongue is ’crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

If everyone who gets this data fowards it to 10 people there is a strong chance at least one life will be saved.

Since cayenne pepper stimulates a strong response in the body, herbal medicine experts even recommend its use for acute conditions such as heart attack. Veteran naturopathic doctors, Dr. David Christopher, Dr. Patrick Quillin and Dr. Richard Schulze have provided ample practical evidence to support the use of cayenne pepper as a remedy for heart conditions. One major scientific study published in the journal Circulation also backs up this idea.

When laboratory mice were induced to have a heart attack, a salve containing capsaicin was rubbed on the abdomen. It was found that the cayenne extract was able to prevent damage to the heart, with an 85 percent reduction in cardiac cell death caused by the episode.

Lead researcher Keith Jones, PhD, from the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Pharmacology and Cell Biophysics, stated that this is the most powerful cardio protective effect ever recorded. The scientists believe that this protective effect is thanks to “pro-survival” pathways triggered by the capsaicin.

I keep a teaspoon in a plastic bag in my pocket when I go out. Hope I never have to use it but if someone needs it, I have it!

Since the cause of a heart attack is the same as the cause of a stroke (a blocked artery) my guess is that while waiting for medical assistance you could do a lot worse that get some Cayenne in water under the person’s tongue or rubbed on their chest or abdomen.

In G. Edward Griffin’s excellent book, World Without Cancer, he writes:
Re silver, I’m glad you brought up silver. A colleague of mine is currently working with a cardiologist in San Francisco who has developed a successful therapy for heart attacks and strokes using a regimen of Patis 30 (30 ppm) nanosilver hydrosol, combined with large dose vitamin D3 (50,000 IU daily). This is being applied as prophylaxis for those at high risk, and also as post coronary/stroke therapy. An observed side benefit is the complete remission of his patients who were also suffering from prostate cancer.”
