CFFS Slams FBI for Raid on Home of Activist Colorado Mom Opposed to CRT, Mask Mandates

Mesa, AZ – “They were at my home to intimidate me, to shut me up, because I was using my First Amendment rights to advocate…and they’ll never be held accountable. Instead, they will criminalize this woman who has stood up.”

Those were the words of Sheronna Bishop, a terrified-but-determined suburban Colorado mother whose home as invaded by federal law enforcement on November 16 in what could be the first case of the promised Department of Justice crackdown on activist parents. Bishop has been a vocal activist for election integrity in her state, as well as a fixture at local school board meetings, often opposing the implementation of mask mandates for children and the inclusion of Critical Race Theory in school curricula. According to Patrick Wood, Executive Director of Citizens for Free Speech (CFFS), these activities are what likely made her a target of a rogue DOJ.

“Last month, the Attorney General of the United States sent a memorandum to the FBI, instructing them to investigate activist parents that are accused of harassing or intimidating school officials,” Wood said. “The goal was to scare parents into silence and compliance, and smashing down the door of a suburban mom who was busy homeschooling her three children might go a long way toward doing just that. This blatant abuse of parents who stand up to government officials simply cannot be tolerated.”

Bishop told Lindell TV host Brannon Howse that the FBI SWAT team did not produce a search warrant before ransacking her home, but left related documents indicating that she was suspected of causing “intentional damage to a protected computer, wire fraud, and conspiracy to cause damage to a protected computer.”

“I’m a law-abiding citizen, I’m very supportive of law enforcement,” Bishop continued. “I love the Constitution. And what happened yesterday, what happened is something I never imagined I would experience in America.”

Bishop’s website, AmericasMom.net, has been used to educate and inform parents about their children’s education, and she has also begun activist work on a number of other issues as well. She is concerned about who’s next.

“I can’t explain it. I can’t explain being a target, for an agency that typically takes down the cartel, human trafficking, and now I’ve had my children traumatized and if this can happen to me, they’ll come for you too.”

CFFS is equally concerned.

“A suburban mother has been specifically targeted for making waves and raising awareness of issues that the White House and the groups it advocates for do not want to have to deal with,” Wood stated.

“And rather than debate and discuss these issues with concerned parents, the government has decided to make an example of those who dare question their agenda. This is precisely what all Americans need speak out against, even louder and more aggressively than Mrs. Bishop herself has done.”
