This is problematic, as inactivity raises the risk of cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancer, cognitive decline, and more<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 31% of adults \u2014 about 1.8 billion people \u2014 did not meet recommended activity levels.<\/p>\n<p>Global inactivity has risen by 5 percentage points since 2010, and if this trend continues, it could reach 35% by 2030, putting millions at risk for preventable illness.
