Every year, a high school in Regina, Saskatchewan, hosts a truly heartwarming event \u2014 a senior prom like no other.<\/p>\n
The guests of honor? Elderly people from low-income communities, many of whom live alone with little or no company.<\/p>\n
The students prepare a full dinner, help them get dressed, organize transportation \u2014 making sure no one is left behind. And for one magical evening, they gift them a night of music, joy, laughter, and dignity.<\/p>\n
Some haven\u2019t danced in decades.<\/p>\n
Others are simply moved to be seen, heard, and embraced.<\/p>\n
For one night, grandparents become young again\u2026<\/p>\n
And teenagers learn what it means to have a big, compassionate heart.<\/p>\n
This beautiful tradition has been changing lives for nearly 30 years \u2014 a powerful reminder that empathy can be taught.<\/p>\n
