{"id":60363,"date":"2025-06-17T11:57:35","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T01:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/?p=60363"},"modified":"2025-06-17T11:57:35","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T01:57:35","slug":"fluoride-impacts-neurological-development-in-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/?p=60363","title":{"rendered":"Fluoride impacts neurological development in children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Extremely high levels of fluoride are known to cause neurotoxicity in adults, and negative impacts on memory and learning have been reported in rodent studies, but little is known about the substance\u2019s impact on children\u2019s neurodevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>In a meta-analysis, researchers from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/\">Harvard School of Public Health<\/a>\u00a0(HSPH) and China Medical University in Shenyang for the first time combined 27 studies and found strong indications that fluoride may adversely affect cognitive development in children.
