Who are you in a position to save?<\/p>\n

She was drowning.<\/div>\n
And nobody noticed\u2026<\/div>\n
Nobody, except her.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It was June 2022, at the World Championships in Budapest.<\/div>\n
Anita \u00c1lvarez, an American artistic swimmer with Mexican roots, was performing a flawless routine.<\/div>\n
But when her performance ended\u2026 she didn\u2019t come up for air.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She had lost consciousness.<\/div>\n
Her body floated for a few seconds, then began to sink.<\/div>\n
Slowly. All the way to the bottom of the pool.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The audience didn\u2019t notice. Neither did the judges.<\/div>\n
Everyone was clapping.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

But her coach, Andrea Fuentes, noticed.<\/div>\n
She knew Anita\u2014knew exactly how long it took her to surface.<\/div>\n
She felt in her heart that something was wrong.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Without thinking twice, she dove in.<\/div>\n
Fully dressed. Shoes and all.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She swam straight down, grabbed Anita by the waist,<\/div>\n
and brought her back up.<\/div>\n

Who knows you well enough to notice when you\u2019re not okay, even if you\u2019re still smiling?<\/div>\n
Who would dive in for you without hesitation when you no longer have the strength to come up for air?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

And more importantly\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Would you be that person for someone else?<\/div>\n
Are you present enough in your loved ones\u2019 lives to sense the moment they start to sink?<\/div>\n
Or are you just another spectator, clapping, not realizing that inside, they\u2019re fading?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In this life, we all need someone who doesn\u2019t just see us\u2014<\/div>\n
but truly notices us.<\/div>\n
Someone who knows when we\u2019re about to give up,<\/div>\n
