\u00a0<\/span>I opted out of any Christmas preparations\u00a0or events this year (save for Christmas dinner) and it felt great!<\/p>\n Just my guy and I on the Las Vegas strip with countless other tourists in Vegas for Christmas.<\/p>\n Naturally, everything, everywhere was closed and quiet on Christmas day, except for the Vegas strip.\u00a0 It was bumper to bumper.\u00a0 Long lines to enter parking garages, no available reservations in\u00a0 restaurants.\u00a0 It was PACKED.<\/p>\n We dined at Jardin in the Wynn.\u00a0 It was nice.\u00a0 Enough vegan and vegetarian options.<\/p>\n The waiter laid the alcohol menu in front of us, and I informed him that we don’t drink.\u00a0 Then a bread basket was\u00a0placed on our table and I let him know that we didn’t need the bread.<\/p>\n I ordered bottled water and poured a glass of it.\u00a0 I then put\u00a0our\u00a0forks and spoons inside the\u00a0glass of water and whisked them around before drying with\u00a0an organic tissue from\u00a0my\u00a0purse.<\/p>\n I’ve\u00a0gotten used to drinking water straight from the bottle.\u00a0 Not the most lady like\u00a0way to drink but consider my motive.\u00a0 You see, I just learned another horrific fact about the perils of dining in restaurants.<\/p>\n Residue from rinse agents is left behind on dishes after they’re cleaned in professional grade dishwashers, which all restaurants use.<\/p>\n “This damages the natural protective layer in the gut and can contribute to the onset of chronic diseases, as demonstrated by researchers working with organoids at the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research.<\/p>\n One ingredient in particular found in commercial rinse agents has a toxic effect on the gastrointestinal tract.”\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0alcohol ethoxylates\u00a0present in the rinse aid were identified as the culprit component causing the epithelial inflammation and barrier damage.\u00a0 “Epithelial” means\u00a0relating to or\u00a0denoting\u00a0the thin tissue forming the outer layer of a body’s surface and lining the\u00a0alimentary\u00a0canal and other hollow structures.”\u00a0 Sounds pretty scary to ME.<\/p>\n I don’t even understand how this is legal, but it’s occurring in every restaurant in this country.\u00a0 Some people may think me\u00a0fanatical.\u00a0\u00a0I call it, trying to keep myself safe in a war zone.
