(I posted this 18th May 2019. Wow! What a change the world has seen since then! Warriors are never a more needed commodity than they are now. And will be for a few years more.<\/p>\n
Since I wrote this Ode there have been a great many more step up to don the mantle of Warrior. The world has far more hope for their examples so it is fitting I repost it.)<\/p>\n
Here’s an acknowledgement to the warriors I know, interestingly enough. most of them women Mary Szental, Sheryl Pyers, Dyan Thomson, Irene Kondostanos, Karen Hadley, Elaine Wilhelm, Stephanie Messenger, Jeffrey Smith, Robert F Kennedy Jnr, Del Bigtree and Rohn Walker as well as the team at Moms Across America are the ones who come instantly to mind but there are many more who don’t…<\/p>\n
Ode to the Warriors of the Light<\/p>\n
May your strength attain new highs,
\nMay your courage only grow,
\nMay your wisdom ever rise,
\nMay peace each night you know.
\nMay the strategies you devise,
\nPermit others to hear your truth,
\nMay your message cut through the lies,
\nTo restore sanity and sooth.
\nMay others spread your word,
\nSo the pace of progress grows,
\n‘Til many like voices are heard,
\nIn song, speech, poem and prose.
\nUntil combined efforts free the many,
\nFrom invisible chains with which they’re bound,
\n‘Til we’ve a land of honey and plenty,
\nWhere peace and love and harmony abound.<\/p>\n
