A new friend of mine posted: About 20 years ago, I went to the Cheyanne Mountain Zoo.<\/p>\n

It was during the Christmas season when they still called it Christmas. It was about 8:00pm. I was the only person in the Gorilla enclosure. There was this beautiful Male Silverback western lowland gorilla who probably weighed well over 400 lbs.
\nHe was indoors, behind a glass wall, the glass seemed about six inches thick. We both put our faces up to the glass and gazed into each others eyes for a long time. His sorrowful eyes told me that he was a prisoner. I couldn’t reach him, I couldn’t communicate with him, I couldn’t do much to comfort him and I couldn’t save him.<\/p>\n

Now, there are lots of people in my world that bring back that exact feeling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
