Following the\u00a0FBI<\/a>\u2019s raid of the residence of former President Donald Trump, there\u2019s been much speculation about the Department of Justice\u2019s (DOJ<\/a>) motivation. Was it done to prevent Trump from running again in 2024, or was the raid related to documents and evidence surrounding the Jan. 6 commission?<\/p>\n While these factors may have had some bearing on the FBI\u2019s raid, some entirely different, and potentially larger, factors may be at play.<\/p>\n It\u2019s likely that the FBI\u2019s raid was driven by intelligence community fears over information that was contained within those documents relating to the Russiagate hoax.<\/p>\n The DOJ\u2019s coordinated FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago was likely related to the potential unsealing and public presentation of this information\u2014particularly in relation to\u00a0Trump\u2019s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) suit<\/a>\u00a0against Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and former FBI officials such as former Director James Comey, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former agent Peter Strzok, and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page\u2014and his amended RICO suit, which added more defendants.<\/p>\n As new information has come to light, we\u2019ve gained increased confidence and feel even more strongly regarding this theory. The vast breadth and scope of the search warrant alone have bolstered this theory. But that\u2019s far from being the only reason behind our belief.<\/p>\n An Aug. 17\u00a0Newsweek<\/a>\u00a0article included some remarkable statements from two sources within the Intelligence Community (IC).<\/p>\n One of these sources noted that \u201cagents went into Trump\u2019s residence on the pretext that they were seeking all government documents \u2026 but the true target was this private stash\u201d of documents amassed by Trump, \u201cwhich Justice Department officials feared Trump might weaponize.\u201d The second source claimed that although the FBI supposedly \u201ccollected everything that rightfully belonged to the U.S. government,\u201d the true target of the DOJ-led FBI raid was \u201cthese documents that Trump had been collecting since early in his administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
