We want peace, so that our peoples can live a just and dignified life!\"\n\u2013 Sonia Guajajara<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>We recently accompanied our indigenous partners from the Amazon to the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York to deliver the urgent message that if we are to protect Mother Earth, we must respect indigenous rights and traditional knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon Watch remains steadfast in our efforts to resist the increasing threats against indigenous people driven by right-wing regimes and profit-driven institutions.
