Almost every doctor and family member and friend will tell you that passing on these screenings is dangerous stuff. Most of the big breast cancer awareness promotions revolved around the concept of \u201cgetting screened.\u201d The claim is that early detection saves lives.<br \/>\nBut does \u201cgetting screened\u201d for breast cancer actually help protect a woman\u2019s health?<br \/>\nAccording to 15 health experts interviewed by The Times, the answer is a resounding \u201cno.\u201d And furthermore, they claim that the entire pitch is based on \u201cfear-mongering\u201d and that women should \u201ccarry on with their lives.\u201d They also said that these routine breast cancer screenings may \u201cdo more harm than good.\u201d<br \/>\nEssentially, these experts gave breast cancer screening a real lashing.<br \/>\n(In my opinion they did not go far enough!
