{"id":15485,"date":"2017-03-11T14:23:31","date_gmt":"2017-03-11T04:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/?p=15485"},"modified":"2024-07-02T01:10:55","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T15:10:55","slug":"doctor-keeps-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/?p=15485","title":{"rendered":"Doctor Keeps License"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/DoctorKeepsLicense.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-15486\" src=\"http:\/\/tomgrimshaw.com\/tomsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/DoctorKeepsLicense-300x98.jpg\" alt=\"Doctor Keeps License\" width=\"774\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nDr Stanislaw Burzynski Defeats Texas Medical Board Charges<br \/>\nOn March 3, 2017 the Texas Medical Board (TMB) decided the fate of Dr. Burzynski and the Burzynski Clinic based on the most recent set of &#8220;charges&#8221; against Burzynski.<br \/>\nDr. Burzynski kept his medical license.<br \/>\nThe Judge&#8217;s &#8220;Finds Of Fact&#8221; stated: \u201cRespondent\u2019s continued practice in treating advanced cancer patients is a present value to the cancer community,&#8221; and \u201cRespondent\u2019s treatments have saved the lives of cancer patients, both adults and children, who were not expected to live.\u201d<br \/>\nOnce the TMB lawyers realized their case to revoke his medical license was falling apart, they then proposed he pay a $360,000.00 fine. This was reduced to $60,000.<br \/>\nOf the few charges the TMB lawyers managed to succeed in, were related to &#8220;improper book keeping&#8221; and &#8220;improper billing&#8221;, human mistakes that occur at all hospitals and clinics big and small.<br \/>\nThe TMB ordered Dr. Burzynski to attend &#8220;continuing education&#8221; with a focus on &#8220;ethics&#8221;.
