Antibiotics – Double Edged Sword?

Antibiotics can help save lives, and using them kills off the bad bugs that give us sore throats and other infections. But at the same time antibiotics kill off good bugs in our bodies too. Traditional thinking was that once we’re off the antibiotics these good bacteria can re-grow; well maybe not according to Dr Martin Blaser from New York University. He reckons our friendly flora never recovers fully, and that this creates all sorts of other health problems. http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/thiswayup/audio/2499723/antibiotic-issues.asx

The Finnish government and major insurance companies announced Wednesday they will pay for lifetime medical care for children diagnosed with narcolepsy after receiving the swine flu vaccine. 79 children between the ages of four and 19 developed narcolepsy after receiving the Pandemrix vaccine in 2009 and 2010. Of these cases, an unusually high number, 76, also suffered from bouts of cataplexy, suffering hallucinations or paralysing physical collapses, according to Finnish research. http://cryptogon.com/?p=25354

Kleptocracy

Kleptocracy, alternatively cleptocracy or kleptarchy, (from Ancient Greek: “rule by thieves”) is a form of political and government corruption where the government exists to increase the personal wealth and political power of its officials and the ruling class at the expense of the wider population, often without pretense of honest service. This type of government corruption is often achieved by the embezzlement of state funds.
This is a link to a video of Chris Hedges author of “The Way It Is” talking at the Wall Street civil disobedience protest.
The protesters in Wall Street recognise, “that the political system is broken, that the commercial press, the judiciary, the elected officials are essentially wholely owned subsidiaries of the corporate state.”
“There is no way in the American political system to vote against the interests of Goldman Sachs.”
“We live in a society in which the citizenry has been utterly disempowered, rendered impotent. It doesn’t matter what citizens want.”
Hmmm… doesn’t sound anything like what is going on in Australia with the carbon tax scam, does it?
